Install OSX Client

Install the BNR OSX Client GUI:

Create a 'BNROSXClient' directory in your Applications directory. Then Open the BNROSXClient Disk Image and copy the 2 files to this directory.

NOTE: If you are using Lightwave you will need to create a copy of the LWSN file.  Through the OSX Finder make a copy of the 'LWSN' application and rename it to: 'LWSN1'
(If you are on a dual machine, you will need to also make a copy for the 'LWSN2')

Configuration Settings:

Make sure the Client Name to a Unique name (Each Client must have a different name). Enter the User name and the 'Number of Processors this machine has'.
(Note: Don't change the Listen or Refresh Ports)

Set the Local Controller (IP or Name)
Set the Number of RenderNodes (I suggest you set 1 per CPU)

The 'Text Log' and 'Batch Log' are used to trace system setup issues - You shouldn't have to turn these on.

Path Settings:

Set the 'BNR Scene Dir' and 'BNR Frame Dir'. These should be the same directories that the Controller is using.

Enable 'Lightwave', 'Maya' and set the Paths for each.

Note: the LW Content dir & Maya Project directory - are defaults - this can be changed in the Controller.

NOTE: Use the 'Test Maya Render' to make sure the Client can find Unix Maya Render file . This will display the 'help' file if it works.

Advanced Settings:

You can also set a Limited use of this client based on Day of Week and Time

NOTE: The Auto Refresh Seconds is the delay between the time the Client will look for the Controller when its not connected.

Output Settings:

After you have made all your changes make sure you 'Save Config' before you start the BNR Client and if you many any other changes. First 'Stop' the BNRClient - then 'Save Config' - then 'Start'. This will make sure the BNRClient is running the most current settings (which are stored in a file called: bnetnode.load)

Select the 'Launch client at start' to Automatically Launch the BNRClient when this application is started.
